Swim With Us
We welcome new swimmers and visiting swimmers to join us year round. There are only three requirements for swimming with us at a regular practice:
All swimmers must be at least 18 years old.
All swimmers must be able to swim 200 yards (eight length of the pool) unassisted.
All swimmers must have a current USMS Membership or valid USMS Trial Membership.
Can’t swim 200 yards unassisted? That’s OK! Our Begin to Swim program is designed to help those who are comfortable in the water learn to swim. If you are interested in this program, please click “New Swimmers” below and fill out the Begin to Swim form linked in the confirmation email you’ll receive after scheduling your first swim.
Schedule a Swim
If you are looking to become a member of the ORCA Swim Team and swim with us regularly, please click “New Swimmers” below and schedule your first swim with us by finding the date and time that works best for you. If you are visiting from out of town and would like to swim with us, please schedule yourself by clicking on “Visiting Swimmers.” If you have any questions or are not able to find a practice that works with your schedule, please reach out to captains@orcaswimteam.org.
Before Your First Swim
In order to enter the pool, all swimmers must be members of USMS. If you are not already a USMS member, you will have the option to sign up for a free, 30-day trial membership when you schedule your first swim. You get one free USMS trail membership in your lifetime. If you have already used it once or been registered with USMS, you will need to renew your United States Masters Swimming membership before you can swim. Additionally, if you plan to swim at Seattle University, you will need to sign the Seattle University waiver.
